122 Baseline: Atlohsa Community Fire

Recently, Atlohsa Family Healing Services hosted a community gathering for tenants at our 122 Baseline site.

Residents were invited to enjoy live drumming and singing, share a meal, and spend time together in a welcoming outdoor setting. A ceremonial fire was also part of the gathering. Those who wished to participate were invited to hold tobacco, reflect on a thought, prayer, or intention, and place the tobacco into the fire as part of the ceremony.

The event provided an opportunity for residents to connect with one another, learn about Indigenous traditions, and experience a meaningful cultural gathering. LMCH is grateful to Atlohsa for creating opportunities that bring people together and celebrate culture, community, and connection.
