LMCH Announces Norlon Builders as Construction Partner for Reimagine Southdale Phase 2
Phase 2 will deliver 53 new affordable housing units in London’s Southdale community
London, ON – July 10, 2025 – London & Middlesex Community Housing (LMCH) is pleased to announce Norlon Builders as the General Contractor for Phase 2 of our Reimagine Southdale redevelopment. This next phase will deliver 53 additional new, purpose-built affordable housing units, further transforming the Southdale site into a more inclusive, accessible, and supportive community for families.
Phase 2 is a six-story building that will feature two-, three-, and four-bedroom units, with 20% of homes designed to meet accessibility standards. In addition to new housing, the site will feature a new basketball court and expanded parking to better serve tenants and visitors.
The project is the second major build at the Southdale site. Phase 1 is scheduled for completion in August, with tenants expected to move into 53 new units in September. As LMCH prepares the site for Phase 2 construction this summer, the focus remains on building high-quality homes that reflect the community's needs and support long-term housing stability.

Construction of Phase 2 is scheduled to begin in the coming months, with completion expected by 2026.
