LMCH is actively updating its Asset Management Plan to ensure our housing portfolio remains safe, sustainable, and well maintained for the long term.
In 2026, LMCH began a new Building Condition Assessment (BCA) of all properties across our portfolio. This independent assessment will evaluate the condition of key building systems such as roofs, mechanical equipment, electrical infrastructure, and building envelopes.
National Housing Week was an incredible success—and it’s all thanks to the dedication, energy, and heart that LMCH staff poured into every moment.
We were thrilled to host our ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house, marking an exciting milestone for our community. The events were buzzing with energy as we welcomed local leaders, board members, and community champions.
The November 2025 LMCH Board Meeting will be held at 955 Southdale Rd E (New Building) for anyone who wishes to watch in person.

Children participated in a basketball skills session, got to watch Shaedon go up against Mayor Josh Morgan in a friendly match of House, and received brand-new backpacks filled with school supplies. London & Middlesex Community Housing Welcomes
New Chief Operating Officer
London, ON – June 11, 2025 – London & Middlesex Community Housing (LMCH) is pleased to announce the addition of Sara De Candido, MBA, CHE, as the organization's Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective June 9, 2025.
The LMCH Board of Directors met on February 20, 2025, to review important updates and make key decisions affecting our organization. Below is a summary of the major topics discussed.
This summer, LMCH proudly continued its tradition of nurturing young talent by partnering with London Police (LPS) for the 31st year of Rookie League. This program offers youth aged 8-11 from LMCH family sites a chance to experience the joys of baseball in a supportive, beginner-friendly league. Over six weeks in July and August, kids embraced the fundamentals of the game while also learning crucial life skills such as teamwork, handling peer pressure, and addressing bullying.
This past weekend, London was painted in rainbows as the city came together for the Pride Parade. Armed with sunscreen, rainbows, and a decked-out Community Safety Vehicle masterfully piloted by CEO Paul Chisolm, the LMCH team managed to hand out almost 3 coolers worth of freezies to parade goers.
Pride at LMCH
In the world of gardens, each bloom is a symbol of renewal and hope. For Judy, a resident at LMCH’s Commissioners Senior building, nurturing these green spaces embodies a deep-seated belief in the power of nature and community.
Judy - who is often joined by her friend and self-appointed “garden assistant”, Bernadette - has been cultivating gardens in the available outdoor spaces around the property since last year. However, what started as an independent project is now growing into something bigger, which is what prompted Judy to apply for an LMCH Community Development Grant.
Nobody should be worried about where their next meal will come from. Unfortunately, that is the case for many Canadians, among them LMCH tenants, many of who experience food insecurity.
March 2024 marked a pivotal moment for London & Middlesex Community Housing as ground was broken for Reimagine Southdale Phase One, a project set to redefine community housing in the London and Middlesex region. Made possible by an investment from the City of London, this initiative aims to address the need for accessible, affordable housing, marking the first new community housing development in 50 years.
